Alles in Ordnung.

It's been quite a while since my last blog post. It's sad to say but I haven't had much to blog about, my life has recently taken a turn to the more mundane and normal occurrences. My days have consisted of working, reading program mailings, and attempting to learn the German language. So appropriately I named this post Alles in Ordnung.

In the last mailing from CBYX we received excerpts from These Strange German Ways  by Susan Stern. she defined the phrase [Alles in Ordnung] as meaning everything is alright and as it should be. That is the way that I have felt these past couple of weeks.

Over the past few weeks the only excitements have come from my close friends. One of which returned from Richmond,Va allowing us to get a group together and just relax. The other was a little more adventurous.

There is a 105 mile scenic route along the Shenandoah Valley called Skyline Drive. It is an amazing route to take, and it provided an opportunity to gather more pictures of home and the surrounding areas. The retreat took the better part of a day, 11 hours to be more exact. My beloved joined me for the trip, and proved to make it that much more enjoyable. There are 75 overlooks on the sides of the road and we hit just about every one of them. Along with several hiking trails that lead to the peaks and valleys of the mountains.

Kayla And Myself

We are currently 57 days from my departure. Although for now "Alles in Ordnung" as the time quickly slips away I can see Störungen (disorder) in my future. This week I stated my packing list and working on a guest list for a going away party, both of which are hard for me to do but terribly necessary. I feel as if I'm always forgetting something or someone. Though my packing list isn't exactly extensive, as I look at it it just looks like it will weigh more than 50 lbs when it all gets put in a suitcase.

But for now Alles in Ordnung.
