So after several weeks this past while of absolutely nothing interesting going on, I can finally wright a good post. The time here is quickly running out and I started the last part of my adventure this week. Lets start with the Friday before last.
Well as I said the time is coming to an end, that means it is time to think about packing. So Friday after work I started working on rolling my winter clothes and jackets. Before Long I realized I was basically done packing. I left just the things that I would not need to travel these last few weeks. Unfortunately I did have a little oversight and took down all my decorations to sort and pack. I absolutely hate blank walls and that is exactly what I have accomplished, It is driving me nuts when I'm home.
Monday started my last few days of work and boy did we work. There is a plant called Jacobs weed that grows in Germany, it is highly poisonous and causes Liver failure. Unfortunately there was a lot growing in the hay fields. So we spent 2 days pulling weeds. thank heaven that we don't have that in VA. My time at the Reiselfeilder ended on Wednesday. Leaving was bitter sweet, I actually enjoyed the time there and the friends I have made. The guys there where definitely cool people and They will be back as Tomorrow I'm headed out there for a BBQ with them.
Thursday I spent the day finishing my History course and taking the Mid-term for the Film course. It is a relief to have one course out of the way and the grade posted. However I am quite annoyed with my final grade 79.8%, why can't those .2% show back up so I can have a B in the course. But o well passing for me is all that matters. The Film course is still going which has made my travels more interesting, I've had to schedule at least 2 days a week to be home to finish the work for that course. A hassle to schedule but will add in some nice breaks, between the excitement.
Friday I spent my day on a train to Saarbrünken to meet up with Kyle and Josh to stat our last adventures. Saturday we got up early and headed to a small town called Speyer, where part one of a huge Technical museum is.
Then Sunday was Part 2 at the Sinsheim Part
Monday was a good day to rest after a whole lot of excitement. And Tuesday we headed up to Bittburg The town Josh was born in to celebrate his 24th Birthday, and get him his first beir. So we hit the brewery and ended up getting free beer. Sadly Bittburger beer is pilsner and is definetly not the best first beer. But a nice weekend overall. Now I'm back in Münster with Josh spending a few days here taking a break, and watching the Deutschland vs. USA game tonight. I'm routing for a tie so both teams move on.
The adventure is just beginning stay tuned for the updates after each part of the last ride (should be about 3).
I'm off to see the World,
Cody A Glick
