A Week to Think and Party

This week was really lazy for me, I spent much of it around the house looking into this or that. I was still riding my emotional roller coaster and wasn't really wanting to be out and about.  So this blog is going to be fairly short.

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with a show "Little Britain" but I felt like I walked into the travel agency this week.

me: I would like to extend my internship with the police
Carolla Beer (CB); computer says No.
Me: ok no problem How about the forensics lab can they give me an internship
CB; click click click computer says No
Me: ok how about with the forestry service, they could probly use an extra pair of hands
CB; click click click AHHH... computer says No
Me: ok then I'll contact the city works and ask about giving tours
CB: click click click Computer says No

It was a little disheartening to have none of these work out. I have a few more leads to follow this coming week so we shall see what comes of it. As a last resort, the cough at the end if you will, I can return to the school and continue working there. Not the worst answer but not the best either.

The rest of my week was more preparations on the Home front. I had an online appointment with an adviser at BRCC to discuss what I can take next semester to graduate and the status of my graduation. I also got to be the guiniepig for this system being as it has never actually been used. Sadly the video and vocal didn't work to well which took the personal connection out of it. It basically turned into a chat box with some extra tools. The result of this conversation was simply music to me; I Will graduate this fall. I have to fill out the application after posting this and then wait on the official letter, but I was already guaranteed by the reviewer that it will occur.

Tuesday night I went over to my tandem partners apartment and had a relaxing evening playing Rummy. It was well needed to get my mind off my personal issues. Catching up with the two of them was defiantly enjoyable I'm hoping to stay really good friends with them when I return to the US.

Thursday morning I was off to the dentist again... This time I was going under some surgery. Never thought that I would need a root canal here but it happened. According to the doctor this was probably a good time to do it, the root had grown together and where strongly infected. So I spent Thursday recovering and hoping to be fit for the weekend.

Why you ask?  PARTY

The official weekend of karnival started on Friday and I was planing to travel to the capital city Köln. Friday Night I met a group of PPPlers on the steps of the dom for a little stamticsh before we headed to the bar district to enjoy the night. We spent our evening in the Cubana bar and danced away until nearly 4 a.m. The entire city was a huge party, marching bands everywhere costumes galore, and the ever present alcohol. I hadn't thought to find a place to stay in köln so I headed back to Münster on the 5 am train. After a few hours in bed I was on my way back to Köln.

Last night was defiantly not my most proud of nights here. When I got to köln I expected the group to be out and about, but they where all still recovering or had made it to someones house already. So I grabbed an adult beverage and a coke and sat down. When I finally headed to the bar district to meet up with one of them, I was perfectly ok. However situations left me alone down there for a good 3 hours before anyone else showed up. Anyway The only thing I'll wright on here is a simple phrase.... I woke up like this....

Tomarrow is the big day in köln with the parade and most partying, I haven't decided if I will return or not it depends on how I feel when I wake up. I guess I'm not as young as I once was.

Sorry this one was a more short and boring post guys, hopefully next week can be more entertaining.

Bis dan,
